After the 4th Great Ninja War, Sasuke returns to his beloved Leaf Village to help protect it from enemies. However, he never resides in the village again, only making short stays and appearances when needed.
What exactly is the Fourth Great Ninja War?
The Fourth Great Ninja War, commonly known as the Fourth Shinobi World War, was a major war in the Naruto anime series between the Allied Shinobi Forces and Akatsuki.
The fight began on October 8th and continued until October 10th, ending in the Allied Shinobi Forces’ full triumph, the fall of Akatsuki, and the sealing of the Ten-Tails. Tobi declared war after the five Kage and the leader of the Land of Iron refused to hand over the Eight and Nine-Tails for his Eye of the Moon Plan.
The Allied Shinobi Forces, commanded by the Fifth Kazekage, Fifth Mizukage, Fourth Raikage, Third Tsuchikage, and General Mifune, gathered all of their forces against Tobi.
What is the Infinite Tsukuyomi?
The Infinite Tsukuyomi is an extremely powerful genjutsu in Naruto that traps the entire world in an illusion. This genjutsu enslaves the human population in a dream so that their chakra may be drawn upon by the God Tree. To cast a genjutsu of this scale, the user’s Rinne Sharingan must be reflected off of the moon.
All those who fall under its gaze are trapped in the genjutsu, with the Rinnegan’s design appearing in their eyes to represent its influence. Victims of the Infinite Tsukuyomi are rendered immobile so long as they are under its effects. Over the course of years, humans connected to the tree in this manner are gradually drained of their life energy, personalities, and defining features, reducing them to shells of their former selves and ultimately converting them into White Zetsu.
